FAQs

How do I make a reservation?

You can call one of our knowledgeable staff members at 920.528.7600 or email your request to info@gopersonalized.com or click “Book Now” and complete the online reservation form for your particular tour. Please have the tour name, tour number and date ready along with name, address and phone number of anyone who has not traveled with Personalized before. If reservations are placed via email or on our website, a confirmation will be emailed to you.

When are payments due?

One-day tours require full payment within seven days of making the reservation. Multi-day tours typically require a $200.00 per person deposit that is due within seven days of making the reservation. Final payments are due two months prior to departure. Please reference specific tour itineraries for detailed information.

Call the office if you have further questions at 920.528.7600.

Will I receive a reminder phone call?

Reminder phone calls for one-day tours will be made ONLY if the departure times and/or pick-up locations differ from what is printed in the catalog. Please refer to your catalog or the "One-Day" section of the website for information. If you would like, you can call our office the day before departure to reconfirm the departure information.

Where are the pick-up locations?

When should I arrive at my location? One-day tour pick up locations are listed in our quarterly catalog and in the “One-Day” section of the website. Departure points for multi-day tours will be assigned 2-3 weeks prior to departure. This information will be included in your tour documents which will arrive approximately 10 days prior to departure. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time.

How are seats assigned?

Seating on the motorcoach is assigned by the order in which we receive payment. Rotation of seats is practiced on multi-day tours. If you do not wish to participate in seat rotation, you can request a seat in the back of the coach, for the duration of the tour.

Is smoking allowed on the motorcoach?

For the comfort and safety of all our passengers, the use of tobacco products is prohibited on our coaches. Rest stops are made frequently so those who wish to smoke will have the opportunity outside of the coach.

What about tipping?

Tipping of drivers, tour directors and local guides is not included in the price of the tour. Gratuities are customary, are a personal matter, and should be handled on an individual basis. The suggested tipping amount is outlined in your tour documents.

How should I pay?

Payments should be made by personal check, money order made payable to Personalized Tours or by credit card. We charge a 3% processing fee for all credit card payments. Separate checks should be issued for each tour if possible. Please include the tour number on the memo line of the check.

How do cancellations & refunds work?

Attractions, theatres and hotels have become more stringent in their cancellation policies thus forcing us to do the same. All one-day tours are non-refundable unless the tour member finds a substitute. If Personalized Tours finds a replacement the payment is transferable to another tour. It is NOT refundable. Should it be necessary to cancel your multi-day tour once deposit is made a $50.00 per person administrative fee will be assessed. The remainder of the deposit is refundable – only if refundable from our vendors. Once final payment is made any refunds will be handled on an individual basis, and will be determined after an evaluation of unrecoverable funds. All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Also, please note that if you booked as a double and your travel partner decides to cancel, you will be responsible for paying a single price.

Do you offer travel insurance?

Personalized Tours does not have in house travel insurance. We can recommend you to companies, but we cannot purchase policies on your behalf or file claims for you. We do offer our in-house Peace of Mind Protection, which is a medical only protection. See more details about Peace of Mind Protection Here.

When should I expect tour documents?

When traveling on a multi-day tour complete instructions including pick-up time and location, hotel list, medical form and baggage tags will be mailed approximately 10 days prior to your departure date. Documents for overnight casino trips will be mailed seven days prior to departure.

Will I need proof of citizenship for my tour?

When traveling outside of the United States, please be sure to carry a passport valid for at least 6 months after the return date of the tour. For tours strictly within the 50 states a government-issued photo ID is required.

Are snacks allowed on the coach?

Yes, dry snacks and water are welcome. However, dairy products are strictly prohibited.
