Scenery and history combine to make this a fantastic autumn tour. We will wind through this state enjoying some of the most breathtaking sights and most intriguing cities and stories. Our stop in Morgantown will show us the hometown of Don Knotts, fondly remembered as the bumbling Deputy Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show! The Mannette Steel Drum is another unique opportunity to see the only factory in the world that allows us to see the building, tuning, and history of the Caribbean Steel Drum. Blackwater Falls State Park welcomes us as their trees are aglow with fall colors, and the 65-foot falls of the Blackwater River cascades into the 8 mile gorge below. Our rail adventure begin with the New Tygart Flyer, a journey through mountains, tunnels, canyons, and rushing rivers. A float through the New River Gorge will take us under the New River Gorge Bridge and through beautiful scenery as we wind through the mountain passage.
